GENERAL CONDITIONS OF OVERSIZE TRANSPORT

   1.  ALLOWED  OVERALL DIMENSIONS

        a.)  LENGTH

 maximal allowed  length  of  vehicle and load is:

               12.00  m  for  single vehicle,

               16.50  m   truck + semitrailer ,

               18.00  m  for lorry + trailer ( road train )

         b.)  WIDTH

maximal alowed breadth of  vehicle and load is 2.50  m

         c.)   HEIGHT

maximal allowed  height of vehicle and load is 4.00  m

         d.)   GROSS  WEIGHT

maximal allowed complete weight of  vehicle and load is 40 tons

         e.)    AXLE PRESSURE

maximal allowed axle pressure is

• 10 tons on single axle

• 8 tons on multiple axle

In the case that axled distance by multiple  axles between 2 neighbours axles is more  then  2.00 m   axles  have treatment like single axles.

         2.     ESCORT 

Escort is  necessary for all kinds of  oversize  transports  without exceptions. It is allowed to assemble convoys  of maximum 3 vehicles in one convoy.In that case are necessary minimum 2 escorts per convoy. Police escort  is obligated  in the following cases :

                  overall length   more then 25.00 m

                  overall width   more then    3.50 m,or

                  overall height   more then   4.50 m

         3.      RESTRICTIONS

Oversize transports  are allowed during daylight and by good visibility.

           a.)   WEEKEND RESTRICTION

During the weekend oversize transports  are forbiden :

                   on Friday from 12.00 h  till Saturday  05.00 h, and

                   on Sunday from 12.00 h till Monday  05.00 h.

            b.)   HOLIDAY RESTRICTION

During the holidays  oversize transports are forbiden:

• day before holiday from 12.00 h  till the first day of holiday 05.00 h,

• from the last day of holiday from 12 h till the first day after holiday  05 h.

            c.)    BELGRADE

Oversize transports with police escort within Belgrade are allowed only by night in  the time  from  00.00 h till 05.00 h.

            4./    EXPERTS OPINION ( EXPERTISE )

Experts opinion (expertise)  of  “Institut for roads” and  “Institut for bridges “ is necessary for:

•   Regional roads if the weight of wehicle and  load is more than 80 t,

•   Main roads  if the  weight of wehicle and  load is more than  100 t

Experts opinion of the “ Institut for roads “ is necessary for  the  loads with the width more than 5 m.
